Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of HGV Driver Jobs ("the Service"). By creating an account, posting a job, subscribing to a paid plan, submitting the contact form or using the site you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

HGV Driver Jobs is an online job board connecting HGV / LGV drivers with UK employers and agencies. Listings come from employers, agencies and third-party feeds. We do not act as an employment agency or employment business; we do not vet drivers or employers and are not party to any employment contract.

2. Accounts

  • You must be 18+ and provide accurate information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
  • We may suspend or close accounts for breach of these Terms, fraud, abuse or non-payment.

3. Driver use & job alerts

Driver accounts and job alerts are free. You can update preferences or unsubscribe at any time from any alert email or in your account settings. Applying to a job takes you to the employer; any subsequent process is between you and that employer.

4. Employer accounts, postings & subscriptions

  • Employers may post jobs only for genuine HGV / driving vacancies they are authorised to advertise.
  • Postings must be lawful, accurate, non-discriminatory and free of misleading pay or licence claims.
  • Paid plans (e.g. unlimited postings, featured listings, company profile upgrades) are sold on a recurring subscription basis with the price, billing period and entitlements shown at checkout.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
  • You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • We may remove postings that breach these Terms without refund.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method for the plan fee plus any applicable VAT each billing period. Failed payments may suspend access until resolved. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

6. Refunds & consumer rights

  • Subscriptions are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started, except where required by law.
  • Consumers in the UK/EU: you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription. By starting to use paid features within that period you agree we may start performance immediately and you may lose the right to a full refund for the portion already used.
  • Employers acting in a business capacity waive statutory consumer cancellation rights.

7. Contact form

Messages sent via our contact form are used solely to respond to your enquiry. Do not submit sensitive personal data, CVs or confidential information through the form.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Post false, misleading, fraudulent or duplicate vacancies.
  • Scrape, copy or republish listings, driver data or any part of the Service without permission.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited marketing, spam, or to harvest contact details.
  • Upload malware, attempt to break security, or interfere with other users.
  • Use the Service in breach of UK employment, equality, advertising or data protection law.

9. Content & intellectual property

You retain rights in content you submit (job postings, company info, messages) and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it on the Service for as long as needed to provide the Service. The site itself, our branding and software are owned by us or our licensors.

10. Third-party links

Job listings link to employer or agency websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or recruitment practices of those third parties.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that any job is accurate, current, suitable or that any application will result in employment. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in that period and (b) £100. We are not liable for loss of profits, business, goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or for non-payment. Outstanding fees remain payable.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or on the site at least 14 days before they take effect for paid users. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
